Licorice Root Extract – Organic

Origin

Licorice Root Extract is obtained from the roots of Glycyrrhiza glabra, a perennial plant belonging to the legume family. Its roots contain a complex range of naturally occurring plant compounds, including glycyrrhizin, flavonoids and other antioxidant constituents.

The certified organic extract used by AREUM is suspended in a base of organic glycerine and water. This draws the water-soluble components from the root and creates a fluid botanical extract that can be incorporated evenly into a water-based serum.

How AREUM Uses It

We use Organic Licorice Root Extract in Guardian Antioxidant Serum, where it works alongside Coenzyme Q10, resveratrol, green tea, niacinamide and other hydrating and antioxidant ingredients.

It contributes soothing, antioxidant and tone-supporting care while the glycerine-based format integrates naturally into Guardian’s water phase. The glycerine also provides humectant benefits, complementing the serum’s layered approach to hydration.

Why AREUM Chose Organic Licorice Root Extract

We chose Licorice Root Extract because it offers multiple skin-supporting benefits within a single botanical ingredient. It helps calm the visible signs of stress, supports a brighter and more even-looking complexion, and provides additional antioxidant protection.

This makes it a thoughtful companion to Guardian’s concentrated antioxidants. While Coenzyme Q10, resveratrol and green tea help defend against oxidative stress, Licorice Root Extract adds a soothing dimension and helps address dullness and uneven tone caused by environmental exposure. We use a glycerine-based extract to deliver these benefits without alcohol or oil, allowing it to blend seamlessly into Guardian’s lightweight, non-greasy formula.
