Camellia Oil – Organic

Origin

Camellia Oil is obtained from the seeds of Camellia oleifera, a flowering evergreen traditionally cultivated in Asia. The certified organic oil used by AREUM is cold pressed from the seeds before being refined to create a clear, lightweight oil with a smooth and consistent finish.

Its composition is naturally dominated by oleic acid, alongside smaller amounts of linoleic, palmitic and stearic acids. Camellia seed oil also contains naturally occurring plant compounds including phytosterols, tocopherols, squalene and phenolic compounds.

How AREUM Uses It

We use Organic Camellia Oil in Grace Facial Oil, where it works alongside olive-derived squalane, jojoba, meadowfoam, rosehip and sea buckthorn oils.

Camellia Oil brings softness and nourishment to the formula while preserving the light, elegant skin feel that defines Grace. It helps the oil glide effortlessly across the skin and absorb comfortably without leaving it feeling overly coated.

Why AREUM Chose Camellia Oil

We chose Camellia Oil for the balance it offers between nourishment and refinement. Some rich botanical oils can feel heavy when used in a concentrated facial blend, while lighter oils may not provide the same sense of comfort for dry or changing skin. Camellia Oil offers both, with a naturally high oleic acid content that gives it a soft, replenishing quality, and a fine, non-greasy texture that keeps Grace silky and wearable.

Within Grace, it helps balance the more active character of rosehip and sea buckthorn oils while complementing the stability and elegant slip of meadowfoam, jojoba and squalane. As an emollient, it softens and smooths the skin, supporting moisture retention and leaving the complexion feeling nourished, flexible and comfortably conditioned.
