Jojoba Oil – Organic

Origin

Jojoba Oil is obtained from the seeds of Simmondsia chinensis, a hardy evergreen shrub native to the arid regions of North America. The certified organic oil used by AREUM is cold pressed from the seeds to preserve its naturally beneficial composition.

Despite its name, Jojoba Oil is technically a liquid wax rather than a traditional plant oil. It is composed predominantly of long-chain wax esters, with smaller amounts of naturally occurring tocopherols, phytosterols and other plant compounds.

How AREUM Uses It

We use Organic Jojoba Oil in Grace Facial Oil, where it works alongside olive-derived squalane, meadowfoam, rosehip, camellia and sea buckthorn oils.

Jojoba provides a soft, conditioning foundation for the formula. It helps Grace spread smoothly across the skin, supports an elegant and balanced texture, and allows the richer botanical oils to feel nourishing without becoming overly heavy.

Why AREUM Chose Jojoba Oil

We chose Jojoba Oil for its unique wax ester structure, exceptional stability and close affinity with the skin. Unlike most botanical oils, it is composed primarily of liquid wax esters rather than triglycerides, giving it a smooth, lightweight texture and a natural resistance to oxidation that helps preserve the integrity and longevity of Grace.

Jojoba Oil delivers the comfort of a nourishing oil without heaviness or greasiness, making it ideal for a concentrated facial blend. It supports skin softness and balance while ensuring the formula remains elegant in feel and performance, where every ingredient must contribute both functionally and sensorially.
