Meadowfoam Oil

Origin

Meadowfoam Oil is obtained from the seeds of Limnanthes alba, a small annual plant named for the soft white appearance of its flowers when in bloom. The oil used by AREUM is cold pressed from the seeds and refined to create a clear, pale oil with a smooth and consistent finish.

Meadowfoam Oil has an unusual composition dominated by long-chain fatty acids, particularly eicosenoic acid. This distinctive fatty acid profile gives it exceptionally high resistance to oxidation compared with many traditional botanical oils.

How AREUM Uses It

We use Meadowfoam Oil in Grace Facial Oil, where it works alongside olive-derived squalane, jojoba, rosehip, camellia and sea buckthorn oils.

It brings a soft, velvety cushion to the formula, helping Grace glide smoothly across the skin while balancing its richer botanical oils. Its natural stability also supports the integrity of the blend, helping preserve the quality of the formula over time.
